Onshore 2D/3D seismic researches for gas and oilfields
Onshore seismic survey is a new line of activity for Pacific Engineering Co. Ltd. In 2005 PECO started 2D and 3D RM CDP seismic surveys at Sakhalin oil and gas bearing sites. To the present time PECO has performed seismic surveys at Kholmskaya, Pionerskaya, Uglegorskaya (SS 2D) and Okruzhnaya and Dagi (SS 3D) sites.
Seismic survey operations are performed using up‐to-date field and processing methods. A seismic station STS Progress‐T2 (Russia) with 2400 active channels, an arsenal of drilling rigs, vibration sources, high‐end processing center are at the disposal of PECO. Geophones GS-20DX and SF 20DX are used as receivers. The latest GPS satellite based geodetic equipment (TRIMBLE 5700) that allows to perform topographic geodetic works and locate the excitation sources in real time with an accuracy of up to 0.3m is used during field operations. Continuous quality control is performed at all work stages ensuring a high technological effectiveness of works.
